February Set Up & Template

Bullet Journal February Set Up & Template

Can you believe that it is almost February already? With one month down already I feel as though this year is going to fly by! To help me keep on track throughout February I have set up a very simple monthly layout! And when I say simple, I mean really simple.. my whole monthly layout is on just one page... one page!

Although just the one page, I have included the template for the layout at the bottom of the post for anyone who may be interested!

I never thought I would have a monthly set up on just one page but I really wanted to go right back to the bare minimum this month. I am hoping by having just one spread I will be able to see which monthly spreads I really do need and which spreads I just include because I like how they look. If I add any additional spreads throughout the month I will be sure to update you all in next month's set up post!

Other than my actual monthly spread I have put in a header page, and I have a secret, I didn't draw this mandala! Well, I did physically draw the mandala but I only traced it!! I just love seeing mandalas in bullet journals but I am not a very good drawer or doodler at all. I am so bad that it actually puts me off trying to draw, so this month, desperate to have a mandala somewhere in my monthly layout, I decided to print a mandala from google, cut it out and trace it into my bullet journal!

It's such a simple and quick way to add a mandala to your bullet journal! No need to measure and work out what will fit where, but simply print, place under your page and trace! If any of your are like me and more comfortable with straight lines than free hand drawing I would totally recommend giving this a try! It's stress-free and so quick! I just love this page so much and am thrilled with how it turned out. I will be adding colour to this throughout the month on days when I just need some relaxing colouring!

It might be worth noting here though that I use the Leuchtturm1917 notebook where I am able to see the printed mandala through the paper so I can trace straight onto my page. If you are using a bullet journal with a thicker paper this may not be so easy, if this is the case I would recommend grabbing some tracing paper and tracing the mandala that way!

Monthly layout

Now to the one and only spread this month! The layout has three sections; a monthly overview, detailed goals and a tracker.

The boxes to my monthly overview are the same size as in my January setup (you can see that post here) but without the added space between boxes. Having joining boxes gives you so much extra room if you are trying to save space and add additional elements to the page!

To the right of the monthly overview, there is a goals section. I wanted to add more detail to my goals this month so with that in mind I have my 5 main goals and have broken each one down into specific elements that need to be completed in order to achieve the goal. Once an element has completed I will colour the box so I am able to see how close I am to meeting my goals!

Underneath the monthly overview is the trusted habit tracker. Just like last month, I will be tracking areas that relate to my goals and colouring in each day when a certain element has been completed.

So although just one page, I guess I actually have three spreads on one page! I like having everything all on one page and I am curious to see if there are any monthly spreads that I find I really need as the month goes on. If you are finding all your monthly pages overwhelming I would totally recommend giving this a try and starting from the bare minimum. It will help you identify the spreads you need as opposed to the spreads you like - something I am guilty doing every month! The last thing I want is for my bullet journal to become a chore and I think this is the best way to stop this from happening. What do you think?

As always, the template is below for anyone curious on the layout in the Leuchtturm1917 A5 notebook!

  1. These templates are the best Bujo resources I've found - LOVE. Thank you! Could you share where you found the Mandala?

  2. Thank you so much, I'm so pleased you like the templates! Oh no, I cannot find the original mandala source, I know it was a website that had hundreds on though. If you search 'mandala colouring' on google images you will be able to find loads to choose from. Sorry for not being much help. I will be sure to save the address for any future mandala's I use!
